# Business Owner/Client Communication Tips

When it comes to running a business, one of the most beneficial things for you to learn is how to best communicate with clients. Communication is one of the many ways that can help set your business apart from the competition, so don’t be afraid to stay in contact. 

Here are some ideas on how you can strengthen the relationship between you and your clients.
* We have found that staying in communication with your clients while shopping their order gives them a sense of ease. So **don’t** be afraid to communicate too much! They appreciate the customer service and knowing that you are willing to take the time to get them exactly what they need.
* Ask your clients if they would like you to send a message when you’re on your way to their home.
* Send follow-up messages after you have delivered the order.
* If you need to make a change in the delivery time/date, make replacements for out-of-stock items, or reach out to the client for approval before doing so. Always make sure to get the clients ok for any changes to their order. If you are running late on a delivery, make sure you are reaching out to your clients so they are aware. Clients know that we are a small business that is typically run solo, so just make sure to keep them in the loop.
* If your client has not yet placed an order or it has been a few weeks, consider reaching out and letting them know they can contact you anytime with questions they may have.
